Posted on 08/28/2019
August 26 marked the kick-off for eight Bloomfield High School students participating in the San Juan Mentors program.  These students will spend the fall semester working with a local mentor in their area of career interest to learn more about a profession.  Included as a mentor is Bloomfield School Board President, Dale Maes.  Mr. Maes, owner of DJ's Pizza, is mentoring Junnior Cruz, who is interested in entrepreneurship.  Other students are working with local veterinarians, medical doctors, engineers, and the Farmington Police Department (Crime Scene Investigations Unit).  Presentations about student experiences with the program will be held November 18, 7pm at the BHS Commons.
